Forestry

Sustainable forestry maintains forest biodiversity, productivity, regeneration capacity, and vitality. This practice focuses on balance between society's increasing demands for forest products and benefits, and the preservation of forest health and diversity. Forestry is the oldest sustainable practice dating back to the 15th century in Germany.

Many private land owners in Mississippi are involved in growing trees and are in desperate need to understand proper forest management techniques. We cannot offer a university course in forestry, but we want to open land owner’s eyes, so they can make informed decisions.
