2012 Conference Feb 25

On Saturday February 25th will be our 3rd Annual

Sustainable Living Conference:
Saving Dollars, Making Sense

and it will be our best yet.
We have packed a weekend's worth of learning, networking, and fun into one day to respect limited budgets. We are hosting the conference centrally (15 miles from Jackson) this year so that everyone in Mississippi can get there and get home in the same day to avoid paying for a hotel room. Get ready to be excited, encouraged, and inspired.
This year's conference offers 4 Strands, lunch, vendors, and a children's center.
  • Health & Wellness Strand ties sustainable living to the mantra "We are what we eat" and breathe, and do.
  • Home & Garden Strand is perfect for homesteaders looking for independence or extra income.
  • Energy Strand Learn about cutting edge technologies  to reduce our dependence on oil and coal.
  • Networking Strand pulls people together to make a positive change for Mississippi with a focus on Farm to School and forming a MS Ag Network.

Traveling the Natchez Trace to Raymond

Raymond is located fifteen miles south of Jackson and two miles east of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The small town features dozens of antebellum era homes, church buildings and the still functioning County Courthouse built from 1857-1859. In 1903 a water tower was built in the middle of the town's square creating a unique focal point that local residents have taken pride in for over 100 years.
